We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Parnell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make was probably to leave the Army after serving 8 years. It’s kind of scary you know. Overwhelming, exciting and unfamiliar. My children are the absolute most important thing in my life. Not knowing if stepping out on faith will work in my favor or will I end up working another 9-5. Will I be able to afford the basic necessities, will my business bring in enough money to provide?

All I knew was that I couldn’t keep being reprimanded for having to take my baby to appointments. Requesting time off for vacations, running out of work to make it to football games.

I needed to create a life that allowed me to not miss a single beat when it comes to my children. A life that gives me the opportunity to build an empire that my children can continue to grow. A life that allows me to lead others to find their true passion. Most of all to create a life that I love. And if I had the chance to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being in the fashion industry allows you to release your creativity. What gets me the most excited is when my clients/customers send me their pics. The smiles on their faces and the confidence in their smile is the reason I do it. Fashion is not designed for one person. Fashions speaks through many different people, different ethnicities, different sizes, different colors and different backgrounds. That’s the beauty of it. The biggest lesson I have learned is, to do things your way. Your dream is yours only and it’s a reason God gave you the vision and ability.

I want the world to know that fashion is beauty. Fashion is self confident and it’s fearless. It’s a way to say who you are without speaking. When people wear my clothes I want them to look and feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A day of hanging out with me could get a bit crazy lol. I enjoy laughing and dancing around. Shopping would definitely be the first stop, but who could shop on an empty stomach? So of course food would be next. My favorite is Japanese 🙃. But you have to promise to say it’s your Birthday so that we have an excuse to dance crazy while listening to the beat of the drums. I really love that part.
Manis and pedis are always on the list to wind me back down. I’m thinking a bright pink color for the win.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When it comes to my business I give all thanks to God, my mom and my fiance.

My mom is like the glue that keeps me together on days I feel like giving up. She has been there every step of the way. On the days I only make $1 to the days I make $1000. Her words never change. “You can do it.”

My fiance is my supporter and backbone. The one constantly reminding me to go bigger. He let’s me know that if I can think it, I can master it.

And of course without God and my supporters none of this would be possible. I’m so thankful for them.
