We had the good fortune of connecting with Aurelio Rivera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aurelio, is there something you believe many others might not?
One piece of Conventional advice that i disagree with would be when people say “you need to go to school to be successful” Im not knocking education, I just believe in some applications its just not necessaary. I am a perfect example, everything I have done is self taught or from real world experiences. Some Creativity just cant be taught. It lives inside of you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Photography is my art.

I like to think what sets me apart from the others is the Experience. This can be taken 2 ways, one: I have been doing this for a long time so you will be in good hands. I promise you if I take your photos, you will fall in love with them. Two: I am an experience. Shooting with me will feel natural and comfortable. Whether it is in a studio or at a location, you will have a great time. if anything goes wrong I will do what it takes to make it right.

I am most excited about shooting. I love shooting. Stay tuned, im Learning everyday, experimenting. I am most proud of the level of quality that i am able to provide. and its only Progressing.

Nothing is easy when youre betting on yourself. There is ups and downs, great and terrible days. The key is to keep going, never give up. Always believe in yourself. Work Hard and it will pay off. I am only where im at by asking questions. I am lucky to have people around me who will share their successes and struggles and thats how I have learned to adapt in this business. I wont say its easy but it is helpful to see it from outside perspectives.

I want the World to know that there is a lot coming in the future from this Brand. Im here to stay. Im going to be Well known. To my up and Coming photographers, Connect with me. I can be your Resource

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Listen.. There is just way too many things to do in South Florida. I can not give you an itinerary. If we outside then WE OUTSIDE! But if im hanging out then 9 times out of 10 im going to The Hub Spark in Ft. Lauderdale to enjoy a nice hookah and some drinks with my people. Thats all I can give lol.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a Shoutout to Keyfootage Studios (Jason), and my original mentor, Kibwe (Fifteen). Fifteen taught me the basics of street photography long ago. taught me the basics of composition and the basic understanding of capturing a shot. If we never went out and did random photo walks, I wouldnt be where i am today. As for Keyfootage, Jason has been a great friend and Role Model over the years and one of my biggest supporters. He always asked me if i wanted a job at the studio and I never took it seriously. Then I had some misfortune with work and although i was very scared, he gave me an opportunity. Just being in the studio around so many creatives i gained a vast amount of knowledge in a short amount of time and was able to pass on what i can to those who are also up and coming. Being in the studio gave me the courage to go to out and push myself. Im grateful for everyone who contributed to my development. and last but not least, thank you to the Clients. Without you I wouldnt be here today, sharing my story. Without you I dont know where i would be, and without everyone i wouldnt be doing what I Love. Thank you all
