We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Camero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
What I am inspired the most by is LIFE yes I said life because it covers many areas that I am fascinated by and have a lot of love and passion for. My art is always telling a story and honestly, life is a perspective, and we all see it differently. Some of the things about life that inspire me are mother nature, the galaxy, and futuristic ideas. If you take a look at my art you will see all three topics integrated to it. One of the things that I have learned to do is to slow down and appreciate the beauty of what has been given to us as a gift. Life is everything from the air we breathe to the sun that wakes us up in the morning. Being present in the moment has inspired me enormously not only it has allowed me to observe the world we live in at a deeper level but also has allowed me to connect better with people, nature, in short words I have become more humane not only to other people but to our planet. This is the only life we have and my mission is to live the best version and tell as many stories through my creations.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have been drawing since I am four years old and I have always known deep in my heart that I was going to grow and do something in the creative industry. It was not until October 2018 that I went fully into my art career. Making such a bold decision was not easy but I felt like if I didn’t go all-in I was missing out. The main focus when it comes to my art is to stay as authentic as possible, I let my imagination fly with no limitations. Like I mentioned before my art is different stories that I am narrating through a visual creation that you can have a personal perspective and relate to any of the art. I am very excited about a new face that I am entering in my career. Soon I will talk more about it… Stay tuned. But besides that one, I have been organizing a solo show way before COVID-19 and it was related to the toxicity in the world. So you can have an idea my first piece of art that I created with the gas mask was in 2014, after that for the 2018 Art Basel I created and exhibited a collection called “Toxic”. The Toxic Collection was a representation of protecting yourself from all the things that bring your energy down and this can go from toxic news, toxic relationships, contamination in our environment, family disagreements, or even a not so good story growing up. Protect your energy and if that requires you to let go of things or habits then do what it takes, and always stay true to yourself. That is my message. Gratitude is my daily fuel. Like every business nothing is easy and it comes with challenges. One of the things that have been the hardest for me is persistence, staying loyal to my goal. When times are hard you feel like quitting and that probably happens very often but the way I center myself back to the road is reminding myself of my goal and why I am doing what I am doing. Art is my passion and I have worked very hard to get this far to quit on myself. I have always been a risk-taker and if something doesn’t e work is because I tried it, and let me tell you I am very adventurous. LCAmero is a brand that not only creates Art but creates LIMITLESS.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Behind every successful person, there’s a group of people that has been supporting one way or the other, there are others who inspire you to keep pushing and there’s those that have done their mission and innocently they speak to you. First, my friends and family have been very supportive since the moment I started my career as a full-time artist. Many times it is hard to find those who understand why you can’t come to an event, or why you have to miss a birthday but I have been very blessed with those around me. Time has passed while building my business and I have missed out on so much but my family and friends have truly continued to understand that what I am doing is for personal growth. I am thankful for Online Impact 360 because the company has helped me grow in the digital marketing and online platform, honestly, I would’ve gone crazy figuring everything alone lol. They are truly one of the pillars of my business. Thanks to M3 Studios for giving me the opportunity to have some of my art in their walls which have given me some exposure. Also, I have a few books that have changed my life and my career and I have to say that they are amazing. -The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz -You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero -Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis If you are a female that is empowered and looking to jump into the next level I truly recommend these books in that order.
