We had the good fortune of connecting with Alana Iverson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alana, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Everything you want is waiting for you on the other side of consistency,” This quote is one of my favorites, because everything I have achieved thus far in my life is a direct result of consistency, handwork, and taking consistent action. Our routine and what we do day in and day out ultimately defines our outcome. Most people are so set on instant gratification and the lack patience that is required to achieve their goals, and end up giving up on them sadly. I read something recently that said success is 5% brains and 95% consistency, and I couldn’t agree with this more. Consistent action is what creates consistent results, and it was not until I started consistently working towards my goals and taking consistent action that I was able to achieve them.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I touched on this when mentioning my favorite quote, but what has set me apart from others and has pushed me in the direction of reaching my dreams is action and consistency. I started fashion/ lifestyle blogging as an initial means of funding my shopping obsession, which then progressed into me working with big name brands I used to dream about partnering with. I was able to do this by consistently working to grow my audience, and create content I knew my audience would resonate with. In the few years it took me to grow to where I am today, there was rarely a time that I took a break from content creation. Even during the lock down for COVID I was still creating consistent content. Consistency gets you noticed and will fast track your improvement/ development in any area. Same goes for my online jewelry boutique that I started with my twin this summer. Going into this we had no idea how to start our own boutique, but we consistently took the small necessary steps to getting it up running, now the boutique is finally launched and doing well in it’s first month! We still have a long way to go and a lot of work to put in, but I am so proud the progress we have made! (Some goes for the influencing world).

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So this is a fun question for me because I love to explore and plan trips/itineraries for my friends. I am a huge foodie and am always on the hunt for new fun spots. I have friends that have lived in Orlando there whole life ask me for recommendations, after just living here for a few years. So if you have any questions on what to do in this city I am your girl. 😉 There is so much to do here, but a lot of what I would do depends on the season. So it would probably be easier to share some of my favorite spots. 😉 Fav Food: Best Sushi: Kabookie Sushi, Best Ramen: Domu: Best Italian: Prato (More of a modern feel but the worlds best mustard spaghettini) 2nd place Enzo’s on the lake (old school Italian feel w/ great scenic views. Best tapas: Bulla Gastrobar. Best nice dinner: Hillstone (Amazing steak & their grilled artichoke & jumbo shrimps are *chefs kiss*Best Dessert: Better than sex (Get the chocolate rimmed wine & thank me later)

Spending a day at Icon park and hitting all the attractions, and then obviously citywalk, universal, and all the disney attractions are a given.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would not be where I am today without the support of my family, husband, and friends. I am so blessed to have such an incredibly supportive group of people in my life. My husband Ivan is one of the most driven and hardworking people that I know, and he has played such a huge role in me going after everything I want. He constantly pushes me to be my best self, and has showed me the importance of taking consistent action, and that nothing great comes from playing small. My twin sister Melina is the other person that has been there for me through everything. She is one of the most supportive, and encouraging people in my life. I can always count on her to be in my corner cheering me on, no matter what. However in the same regard she never lets me settle, and has had to check me from time to time. We all go through periods of life where we struggle with self doubt, and because of this I think it is crucial to have someone in your life that is there to remind you of your value and what your bring to the table. I can’t say how lucky I am to have not one, but two people in my life that do this for me.
