We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Prophete and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Giving up is not an option for me, as I am very passionate about my career. I know what I am capable of and I know to keep going to get to where I need to be. Being in the real estate industry, has taught me many things about not only myself, but also some more knowledge about real estate as well. I will keep going until I reach that milestone that I am comfortable with.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I got into the real estate industry back in 2017, while working at a retail store called Express. I knew the retail life was not for me and when the opportunity presented itself, I quickly jump ship. One of my coworkers at the time, told me that her realtor was looking for an assistant and from there that is where my story begins. Being an assistant to that realtor definitely gave me so much insight and knowledge about real estate that I was completely unaware of, so getting my license only made sense from that moment on. It was not an easy task, as I was currently in school in which I graduated in 2019 with my Bachelors degree from FIU. I also took some real estate classes as well which also helped me along the way of obtaining my license. I overcame many challenges by simply letting go and letting God handle the rest, it’s definitely easier said than done… but, if you personally know me, then you know I fight for what’s right and keep it pushing lol. The lessons I have learned along the way is to not take things personal as it may have an affect on your career. When it comes to business you just have to let it just be business because once feelings get involved, that is when you know you’re very passionate about what it is that you do. But, that can also backfire on you as well. What I want the world to know about me or my brand or story? I want the world to know that it is possible to achieve whatever you put your mind to. Real estate was once considered to be a male-dominated industry, but now us women we are taking over! For example, “Selling Tampa” on Netflix definitely got a standing ovation from me as that showed that it is possible as a minority, that you too can be successful. I set myself apart from others by simply being myself and that is how people get to relate more and feel comfortable while working with me. I always make sure my clients are well taken care of, any questions or concerns that they may have they know I am one call away. I am most proud of the person I am becoming because I know I have so much to give and it’s time for the world to know that I am much more then Ashley the realtor. My story is not over yet, as I am just getting started!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lol many people call me Google for a reason, as I know so many different places to go.

Monday- we can have brunch at Little Hen, from there we can drive around Wynwood and go make some candles at Candleland Miami. Later on that evening, we can have dinner at Komodo Miami in Brickell.

Tuesday- Taco Tuesday at Tacomiendo near Downtown Miami from there we can go to Bayside and get on the Ferris wheel and see how beautiful Miami’s skyline is.

Wednesday- Drunk bowling at Bowlero lol

Thursday- Throwback Thursday/R&B night at Dacave Miami

Friday- Paint & Sip with EdaArts at Truth Lounge, afterwards it turns into kompa night

Saturday- Go to Pinto’s farm have a great time being out in the water, eating ice cream and then afterwards go to Winery & Brewery within that same area

Sunday- Grab the girls and go to Brunch at Red Rooster or if not catch a vibe at 3kings Brunch.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The person that deserves the greatest recognition in my story would definitely be my dad. I’ve always been a daddy‘s girl, so when I got into real estate he was my biggest support system from then and now. I’ve always known that I wanted to be involved in some kind of business, being that my father is a businessman himself. So, when the opportunity came I was ready to tackle it head on. I also like to dedicate this shoutout to my very close friends, family and clients. If it wasn’t for them and their continuous support I wouldn’t be where I am now. You all are truly appreciated!!
