We had the good fortune of connecting with Oriana Higuera and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Oriana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I never thought about starting a new business, until I found my truly passion. You may think my Passion is photography but to be honest I think it’s something beyond that. I really enjoy being with people and looking at how them enjoy their sucess and experiences. When I realized the power of a smile or being with friends celebrating birthdays; at that moment I thought this may be my call. My first step was becoming a professional, get training and knowledge about photography and Business startUp. I was conviced that to be sucessfull in my business I needed to plan and hustle.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

I’m a photographer by profession and passion. I’ll love being around people celebrating their achievements. My business has my name because I believe Art is an individual way to express yourself, I won’t say It has been easy, Is a continuous competition no with other but myself, working on my own improvement even when I feel tired or when I want to throw the towel. I’ ve been blessed for having around so many people who support me and lift me up when I need it.

What makes me different to the rest is that I focus on my clients rather than me, for me, High Quality  service is mandatory, I focus on excedd and surpass my clients’ expectations and that’s why I offer a Boutique service, which allows me to provide an One on One service and work specifically on every clients’ need. Also I provide a Stress-Free experience which has allowed me to partnership with so many other professionals around me. When people comes to me, I ask question about what they are loking for, and their purpose behind a photo, I’m amazed of how many wonderful people God has put in my path with so many great stories that one day will inspire me to write a Book. I’m not just a photographer, I’m a Woman, a Mother, a wife and so many more things that allow me to focus and understand what my clients need and want from me and my art.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Uff If my best friend comes to Miami, I definetly start at Bayside Miami, that place is one of my favorites, I always feel so comfortable and happy walking around there, I think the amount of tourists make me feel taht I’m one of them too. Vicaya Museum is another favorite place for me to visit, so peaceful and full of History. Walking around Coral Gables City is a must, having lunch in some of their restaurants will make feel like I’m  in one of my most lovely cities in Spain. Spending one day in the beach is a must! And Visiting Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale to have some fun at night it’s mandatory.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are too many people and Organizations, but if I have to mention only one, that’s My Husband! He has been my main support in all this entrepeurnish journey. He is my mentor, and my coach who help me to focus and redirect whenever  I need it to.
