We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Valenzuela and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We started The Mindset Podcast because we have always been passionate about igniting conversations related to success, work ethic, and most importantly, an optimistic MINDSET. We believed that starting our own podcast from scratch would be the best way to reach an audience of like-minded, driven individuals. The Mindset Podcast has influenced millennials across the country by introducing them to the importance of a successful and powerful mindset. The life-changing episodes feature guests, such as CEOs, entrepreneurs, and politicians. Together with our guests, we have powerful discussions about aspirations, leadership, mindsets, and more. All while proactively motivating men and women to take themselves and their mindsets to the next level.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My name is Anthony Valenzuela, and I am currently a student studying Business Administration at the University of Florida. I am also Director of Business Development; my family runs the Valenzuela Real Estate Group. And of course, one of the roles that I am most excited about is being the co-host of The Mindset Podcast along with my best friend, Gabriel Russo. Thanks to my amazing family, who has always supported me and challenged me to go beyond my comfort zone, I got to be where I am today. Nothing in life is easy, especially if you strive for excellence every day, but it is worth fighting! No doubt, I have faced many challenges in my business and personal life, but what has helped me to overcome those challenges is reminding myself why I started in the first place. Your “why” is the most important question an entrepreneur can ask themselves. I want anyone reading this to leave with the mindset of having no regrets. Life is short, and there will come a day when you have to look back at everything you have or have not done, and hopefully, you will not regret a single thing.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Miami is a vibrant city with so much to see, eat, and enjoy! The culture in Miami is truly spectacular, and I am proud to be born and raised in the Magic City. I would first take my best friend to Versailles, an iconic Cuban restaurant with some of the best authentic Cuban food. Then we would visit Miami Beach, another must-visit for anyone that visits Miami. Finally, we would end the night at Fontainebleau Hotel, a historic hotel with an incredible nightlife.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We want to give a shoutout to all 61 of our guests who took time out of their busy schedules to share some wisdom and inspiration for our listeners! As a relatively new podcast, the support we have received from our guests and listeners has been remarkable and very much appreciated.
