Meet Nikki Giacara | Personal Trainer & IFBB Wellness Pro

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Giacara and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nikki, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
Having the courage to go all-in on myself and deciding to do my first bodybuilding competition, which turned into a five-year journey with 13 shows and ultimately my IFBB Professional status.
Competing has allowed me to develop a level of self-discipline, control, and focus that I would not have had otherwise.
I firmly believe the lessons learned through competing have translated into other areas of my life, thus making me a better person all around.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have been a personal trainer for just over 11 years and have over 15 personal training certifications. I have been employed by the biggest names in fitness (Equinox, Life Time Fitness, Crunch, Gold’s Gym, and 24 Hour), all before starting my own business, FiT2NiK. I work with lifestyle and competition clients alike, focusing on a very holistic and very natural approach to living well. I live by the motto, life has no off-season, and my focus is simply to provide the tools my clients need in order to take back control over their life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was visiting, I would absolutely plan a mountain getaway.
Colorado is actually the sunniest state in the country and has little to no humidity, which makes for a beautiful day on the slopes—bright sun, light jacket, and fresh powder all in one!
But, before we drove the i-70 commute to Vail, we’d stop for delicious tacos from Machete’s in downtown Denver. Unique and delicious, Machete’s has incredible flavor pairings, a lobster taco to die for, amongst other unique Mexican deliciousness.
Colorado is all about the people, and then the experience. Luckily, I am here for both!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe much of my physical transformation to a woman who I admired for years before finally being able to work with her, Anne Luise Freitas with Team Pannain.
Anne is one of the most disciplined and most inspirational women I have ever met, let alone have the pleasure to work with.
She is someone who’s opinion I value, and friendship I am truly grateful for.
