We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
CartoFront’s mission is to simplify flood insurance.

It’s a very complex, very nuanced insurance product.

And given the increasing amount of extreme weather in South Florida, we aim to teach about risk and financial security, and make sure you have the proper insurance coverage.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
CartoFront is simplifying flood insurance.

Flood insurance is very complex, and it doesn’t need to be. It is currently going through tremendous change, due to FEMA, and requires patience, education, and ease of use.

Our solution is both technical — embedded within each MLS listing — and fully supported with bilingual education, training, service.

One of the lessons we have learned is while flood insurance is necessary in most instances in South Florida, securing homeowners can make / break if a real estate deal gets done.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I have really fallen in love with Miami all over again.

I love the area around ‘The Roads.’ It is easy to get to anywhere, and it is off the beaten path.

There is a street sushi place on Calle Ocho, called Ahi Sushi. It is only 4 chairs at the counter. Brian is the Sushi Chef.

Then, next door is Ball and Chain, which is great for Cuban Music and Dance.

Lincoln Road for the antiquing out door market. And Wynwood for all things new food and nightlife.
