Meet Jenifer Klepacz | Head of EKstudio

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenifer Klepacz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jenifer, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have always wanted to be an architect since I was young. I loved to draw and building little interior houses out of a shoe box. Aesthetics surrounded me in every aspect of my daily life and played a very important role in everything I did.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I love what I do, and this passion motivates me every day. Effort and dedication are my second name; with a Brazilian and European interior design background, one of the main goals in every project is to align function and aesthetics. Believing in what I do and searching for my dreams, putting fears and negativity aside, was the main fuel to start my career. I had to start from scratch 3x, moving to 02 different cities along the past years, and learn how to express my work with the world through social media and friends, opening up to new experiences, new cultures and new people and being vulnerable allowed me to learn. The more I practice, the more I work, the more I see that we will always keep learning along the way. We don’t need to be perfect, we need to be curious, to ask questions of things we don’t know, we need to explore, get to know providers, go to fairs and keep updated with the world, keeping our unique style, handing clients security through methods of work delivery and having them to participate in the whole intire process.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I will definitely take my friend to the beach, boat ride, ocean places where nature meets the city. A go bike ride through Southpoint, a nice lunch at coconut grove, Brickel city center for an afternoon dessert would also be perfect. Going to ball harbor shops, Makoto restaurant and having a blast at surfside beach with a nice brunch at pura vida. I love the healthy lifestyle that Miami can bring to us which totally relates to the way we create and design.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family and friends that have always been the best supporters and to my kabbalah journey, that helped me to find the existing strength in me.
