We had the good fortune of connecting with Perception 59 and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Perception, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I love what you do. It brings me peace and eternal joy so the thought of giving up never defeats me.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a singer songwriter. I started out writing and producing for artists such as Chris Brown, Sevyn Streeter, Justin Bieber, Usher Will I Am and etc. I believe what sets me apart is the ability to put myself in others shoes and not being selfish. I’m excited for not giving up on myself and my first Album I released on my own called “Never Forget You”. Out on all streaming platforms. Well I’m still working on shocking the music world so I have not gotta to where I should be yet but I’m thankful for the journey. Definitely lots of perseverance and belief. I’ve learned there’s no such thing of loses only lesson. Everything ting you see is not always what it reveals. There’s always a tiny hint or treasure within the message and art.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That’s tough…especially only getting a week long. I guess there will barley be any sleep taking place with me lol. We would definitely get up for a early run and meditation. Go get brunch somewhere nice and chill because I live breakfast and lunch. Go catch a movie in the middle of the day, then slide to the beach or a day party and later that night, skating rink. Biking is fun, going on random game shows are interesting. Shaq would be someone exciting to meet and hangout with. I barley get out and I never been good at picking places to go so I do not have one that comes to mind. I’m more spontaneous. I would rather hope on a plain without any plans to Las Vegas or South Beach.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
House of Woodbury Arts for their nonstop support. The platform they have created really is special, empowering for artists like me. I hope for their massive growth and national exposure because the world needs more entertainment companies like them.
