We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Alorro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
As the popularity of elective procedures grow their is obviously a increased margin for profit in recovery services. The market is becoming saturated with non licensed professionals that are not equipped with the knowledge of how to identify or react in a emergency situation. It is important to consider the credentials behind your surgeon as well as those of who will be providing your care post up. A registered nurse is trained and legally qualified to provide assessment. When you hire a company to care for you you want someone who knows what they are doing and what to do if something is wrong., not someone who is just going to rub your back and fluff your pillows. The BBL has become a signature surgery in Miami. However prospecting patients are unaware there is a 20 percent increase of fatality with this surgery compared to any other surgery. This is where who you choose to care for you post operatively can be a life or death choice. You have to chose a company that is going to know there stuff medically and jump in and advocate for you in your most vulnerable moments. Plastic surgery is taken very lightly because it’s something fun and exciting. In this industry I have seen the good bad and the ugly. If you are having surgery, ASK FOR THOSE CREDENTIALS!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
They say when you do something you love, you will never work a day in your life and I feel like I am a living testimony to that. What sets our company apart from others is the quality of our staff and the unique nature of our vision. We are focused on serving our clientele to provide total body wellness, not just medical or beauty procedures. We approach each patient and client from a physical and mental standpoint and we try to exceed their expectations in both aspects. We want to remove the plastic image associated with elective surgery and self care. We also want to take away the stigma that a medical situation cannot also incorporate beauty necessities. When you look amazing you feel great. Inside and outside has to be imbalance for a person to experience real health and happiness. We work to help our patients achieve that. It’s really exciting for us to get our patients to this point mentally and physically. How did we get here? Well, it’s been a long road and we’ve had to weed out a lot of shady people along the way. Somehow I think God just keeps moving things for us as we commit to doing his work in the field and we’ve been blessed with a abundance of success. One of the lessons I’ve learned along the way is that no matter how good your intentions are their will always be haters, there will always be people who want to see you fail and if you focus your attention on that stuff you will. There will always be the imitators but when something is built from your soul, you’ll never be duplicated. You have to just take it as flattery and keep it moving. If there’s something I want people to know about our brand is that we’re out here in every capacity. Sick family members, pregnant wife, elective surgery cases, end of life , our nurses are here waiting to show you a deeper more effective type of care.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
God, first and foremost for giving me the vision and ability to execute something that embodies my passion for business while giving my the opportunity to serve him and others. Secondly, my family. I can’t even begin to describe the amount of sacrifice they have had to endure throughout the span of the businesses’ development. The nights, sometimes even weeks, that I spent away from home caring for patients when we first started, the middle of the night phone calls, running out of birthdays and family events because a patient needed me they had to endure it. My husband (who is also a business owner) has had to pick up my role in the in house while I’m gone. Sometimes he even jumps in and help me with the physical labor it takes to keep things going. My children spend countless hours back and forth to the recovery homes with me making sure every crevice is perfect for check in. Joey my husband, stays up late night with me and listens to me dream he encourages me constantly and really is just my backbone in life . I can’t forget my team, my nurses are seriously the most bad ass nurses in this field, hands down. They are ready to jump at the drop of the dime and just so prepared and on point. They truly inspire me everyday to push our potential to the max because I know who ever I staff them with, they are going to provide a life changing experience. We are branching out so much deeper into the community as we started expanding. We are heavily growing in the field of mother and baby needs. This is extremely satisfying to see and couldn’t have been done with out their expertise. The doctors we have on staff…also mind blowing amazing. No other recovery homes or agency’s have a on call service that lets you access urgent care with a MD and we do.
