We had the good fortune of connecting with Sydney Jacobson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sydney, what do you attribute your success to?
We started our business holding a special quote close “If you do everything with love, love will do everything for you”. To this day we continue to have love the center of all we do.
Love is there from the way we welcome someone in, to the precision that goes into every drink, to the handmade designs on each cup that leaves our shop.
It’s not only about the product, its more about the experience and how someone leaves feeling like they belong and we are so happy they decided to share some of the day with us.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are proud of what it takes to make something taste exceptional, it takes study and becoming familiar with all variables of production in order to make a specific ingredient shine. Don’t be afraid to try something that comes with no clear directions.
Trial and error is how some of the greatest things are made.
All of our team members at The Lokomotive are artists.
We choose to surround ourselves with people who share a love for coffee, and are driven by making a difference in someones day, no matter how small.
Remember, without the support of your community your business cannot flourish.
Get involved in charity events, auctions, and other ways to support your neighbors and small businesses.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If your visiting Jupiter, Florida I would reccommend eating some fresh seafood at FoodShack, going for a sunset walk at blowing rocks beach, and getting a drink and enjoying live music at Guanabanas or Square Grouper. If you have time for it, the Jupiter Lighthouse tour is a great way to learn about our little fishing town and it has an iconic view from the top.
Also if you like to get out in nature, you can rent paddle boards at Guanabanas from Blueline and take a little paddle around the intercostal and see why so many locals love this special beach town of ours.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our dream to own a coffee shop became a reality we woke up ready to fight for every day, to make real. We truly believe we could not have built and scaled our business without the support, love and wise tips from our family especially our Dad and Mom. (Vincent and Sandra Pezzino).
