We had the good fortune of connecting with Diya R. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diya, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I’m inspired by other women who has stayed dedicated to achieving success and has never given up on there goals or dreams. Women are strong and motivating and there’s so much we could do together if we all learn from one another.
What should our readers know about your business?
Achieving success is my greatest excitement as I’ve failed so many times as an entrepreneur. My failures made me stronger, taught me valuable lessons about the things I was doing wrong in business. I’m hear today because of my failures and never giving up. Growing as an entrepreneur I’ve learned that success doesn’t come easy and anything worth having is worth fighting for. I’m a very creative individual, within the past 3 years I’ve created 4 successful companies that I’m extremely proud of. I enjoy inspiring and helping other women who have the desires to develop there own businesses as well.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I pretty much don’t have a favorite spot in the city, however I enjoy the convenience of my neighborhood Coral Gables. We would have lunch at Morton’s Steakhouse my favorite place great food and drinks. A must see at night would be The Gramercy for dinner as they have live entertainment as well. Brickell is another hot spot, I’ll take my guest to hang out at Komodo listen to music and mingle. Another interesting place is Sexy Fish I’ll definitely do brunch with them there for the experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My success is greatly dedicated to my late grandmother Delores Wilson, she always provided me with all the tools and knowledge to pursue my dreams full force. She’s my angel.
