We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriela Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabriela, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Hard work pays off! It was not always easy, but I constantly reminded myself that there was an end goal. I worked full time while going to beauty school and I wanted to give up many times. But with a support system and hard work, I focused on the bigger picture. After five years, I just recently opened up my own salon suite, and I am looking forward to what’s to come in the next five years!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the proud owner of “BeGabulous”. I recently opened a salon suite and she is my little pride and joy. It’s been challenging, especially opening during a pandemic, but it has kept me motivated. I have put all my focus into making it the best atmosphere for my clientele. I wanted to create a space to offer more to my clients and allow them to feel comfortable and relaxed at their appointment..

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Anywhere by the water! One of my favorite things to do is have brunch on Sunday’s, preferably by the water. Now if we had a week, I would jump in the car to the port and jump on a cruise! I love that where I live, I’m 20 minutes from Miami or Port Everglades, making it so easy to cruise on a regular basis!

Who else deserves a little credit and recognition in your story?
My family! My family has always been so supportive and has cheered me on since day 1. I couldn’t have made it to where I am today without them!
