We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela Edda Galleguillos Schiappacasse and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pamela Edda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
MY THOUGHT WAS THAT WHEN I WAS STARTING MY CAREER AS A SCULPTOR I HAD NO WHERE TO CAST MY WORKS. THAT GENERATED THE IDEA TO TAIZ OF THE NEED TO MAKE MY SCULPTURES TO CREATE AN ARTISTIC FOUNDRY TO ALSO BE ABLE TO HELP OTHER ARTISTS TO EMERGE AND MAKE THEIR DREAMS OF SEEING THEIR CREATION COME TRUE

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The discipline of my art is sculpture. My work has a spiritual message, which is based on light, beauty and truth, in which the viewer reflects and often falls in love. I am proud that I was able to form an art company, creating an artistic bronze foundry. It has been a great task of effort and perseverance, of much trial and error and great learning. What makes me most proud is that many other artists can carry out their work, whether established or emerging, in addition to teaching classes so that artists can express themselves and make their art pieces.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Chile, we have a beautiful variety of landscapes, from the desert to the glaciers. one of my favorite places is the south of Chile, I would take you to the city of Pucon and its surroundings, surrounded by lakes and volcanoes and beautiful native forests.

I would take him to the Termas Geometricas, thermal waters of up to 42 degrees.

to eat at a restaurant called LA Maga. where the best grilled meats and salmon are eaten.

I would invite you to a trekkin to the top of the Villarica volcano, from where you can see 7 lakes and 4 other volcanoes.

To end the night we would go to enjoy a few drinks at the Cassis bar.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In my story, I recognize many people. first to my children who have always accompanied me in the struggle of this path that is art. then to my husband who always gives me all the spaces to be able to develop in what I love to do.

of course my mentor in sculpture Hector Octavio Roman, descendant of a great family of Chilean sculptors.
