Taamika Fussell | Life Coach, Mindfulness Coach & Minister
Actually I have two that helps me get through the every day hustle and bustle. One is the scripture, Romans 8:28, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. This particular scripture brings me comfort in knowing no matter what it looks like and no matter what it feels like, God is right there in the midst working things out on my behalf. My other favorite is ‘It’s not the load that weighs you down, it’s the way you carry it” by C.S. Lewis. This is also a great reminder to not let the weight of the world grip me but I have enough power within me to push through. Read more>>

“What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals” We all have goals that we are trying to accomplish, but many times in our pursuit we forget to really enjoy and trust the process. When lack of trust and enjoyment is present we rarely end up accomplishing what we set out to leaving us in a state of disappointment and frustration (amongst other feelings). We all would LOVE to accomplish our goals but what seems to be holding us back from this is ourselves. Read more>>

If you want to see change, Be It. When you become the change, Own it. – Ronavia Williams We are not born with courage and audacity. We are shaped with it, for many years we have lived in the shadows of our Silence and in the meekness of our character. However, now more than ever an uproar of change has taken place. And the most beautiful part about it, is we were forced here. Therefore, we must take this moment with strategy, intent, and wisdom. This quote has been my mantra in becoming the absolute best version of myself. It has taught me how to look within before looking outward. Read more>>

“Success is liking Yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.” – Maya Angelou. I love this quote because it reminds me of how blessed I am to get to do what I love every day. So often we attribute success to money, but in actuality, happiness shared with others, passion for what you do, and how you do it is the real definition of success to me. Read more>>

Yes, I do. It’s from Oprah—-The only courage you ever need is the courage to fulfill the dreams of your own life. It reminds me to talk to my inner-self and listen to my own voice. It reminds me to encourage myself whenever I’m at a low point and to follow my dreams and goals. Every morning when i wake up I fill my thoughts with gratitude and motivation, “you can do it, you are doing so much better than yesterday and all the hard work will be paid off”. Read more>>

My life journey is dedicated to the greatest of all artists; to the one who flings glorious sunsets across the sky – the designer and builder of worlds. Thurman Mason, 2020 Before I am an artist, I am a member of the human race. My humanity shapes everything in my life, especially my art. For example, the core of my being tells me that I am so wonderfully and mysteriously made, I could not possibly be the result of eons of random acts spawned from nothingness and formed without consciousness, plan, or design. Our humanity requires us to form opinion and beliefs about our existence and purpose in life. Read more>>

I love this question because I am a student of quotes. Throughout my professional career, I have used quotes to inspire, educate, and challenge both me and those around me. I still get a quote of the day from an app on my iPhone every morning at 8 am. While there are numerous quotes I want to list, there is a single quote that I have revisited, shared, and used as a filter for many years. The great Maya Angelou has said, “people will forget what you said, they’ll forget what you did, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel.” Perhaps this is so significant to me because professionally, I’ve led large, diverse teams and served both my local community and thousands of visitors from around the world.
