We had the good fortune of connecting with Matías Szulanski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Matías, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Being resilient, persistent and tolerant towards frustration.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m one of the founders of Kligger. We are a film production and distribution company based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We take the advantage of still being a boutique company, so we handpick almost every aspect of the projects we choose to develop. The main reason we started the company is because we were taking part in different projects and realized we wanted to manage the time and rhythm of them. The hardest part was getting our word out and getting us to be known, at least locally. The best thing for it was doing project after project, always making a step up with each one.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Villa Crespo, no doubt about it. Is a neighborhood in Ciudad de Buenos Aires, right next to Palermo. It is vibrant and full of underground and not-so-underground venues and galleries. It is not tourist oriented but rather for residents, which I think is a plus.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Mariano Galperin. He is the the first Director I’ve professionally collaborated on a screenplay with.
