We had the good fortune of connecting with Konomi Takenaka and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Konomi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I would like to know about foreign cultures and life so I need get to any my skills for live overseas. I started learn how to do nails three years ago because I like fashion, art and wanted to be comic artist when I was child so I like drawing anything.
It’s very worthwhile for me!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When I make a new design, it works better than I expected, and when the customer chooses it, I find it most rewarding. Although I was good at drawing pictures from long ago, it took time to get used to drawing with a brush on my nails. I practiced every day from morning till night, but it was a lot of fun because I could see that I was gradually improving.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The place I would recommend most is Miami. I like the climate, the atmosphere, everything. I’ve been to many countries, but Miami was the first place I wanted to live here. And I would like to go to Maldives with my friends.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My motto is “There is a will, there is a way” If you don’t even give it a try , nothing is going to change.
I don’t want to regret to something I didn’t do.
You can’t spend your time overthinking, you need do something about it.
