Hi Cordeliah, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is the one thing most people are afraid to take. I know first hand that taking risk are super important to take while trying to move up in life. You never really know what’s going to work and/or not work if you don’t take that risk. You just might miss out on your blessing not being confident in your craft or whatever is you’re trying to do in this life.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Firstly I am an all around player. I love to do music, do nails and sell cosmetic products. I am a very beautiful woman who loves to help other women feel beautiful. What’s sets me apart from others are my work ethic and my ability to get through whatever comes my way. I am strong minded, positive and hungry. I hustle. I can have a dollar today and $100 tomorrow, if I need/want it I’m going to get it. Where I am today isn’t nearly close to where I’d be in a couple months to a year from now, but I’ve always been open to learning more and growing. Life is hard and entrepreneurship is even harder, especially while raising a kid but when you want to do something you’ll do all you can do make sure it gets done. I stay focused and I stick to the plan. My brand “KiorKosmetics” was made behind my daughter “Khori Kior Vales”, the most beautiful girl in the world of course. After giving birth to her I couldn’t work, I was a stay at home mom who had no other choice but to find a way to make money to be able to take care of my daughter. Kior Kosmetics has been standing strong for almost 2 years now and I am so excited to see where I’ll be in the next year.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hearing the word “Milwaukee” may not always sound the best to folks, but to me it’s home. I love water so going to the beach is my favorite thing to do, it’s so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. I am a big foodie so going downtown to eat anywhere is also my favorite but I love tacos. The taco trucks downtown are the best. There’s also this new spot Mccocos who has the best drinks and wings, I’d highly recommend.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Firstly I’d like to thank god. I’ve been through so many trials and obstacles that has tried to hinder me from moving forward in life but I kept going. I stayed with a positive attitude and kept pushing thanks to prayer and self motivation. Secondly I’d love to thank ET, (Eric Thomas). He’s a motivational speaker who’s words means so much to me. He motivates, uplifts and encourage and watching his videos help me understand and see life in a different aspect. I’d also love to thank those that are around me, you’ll never fail to let me know I’m doing a great job and that you see so much potential in me.
