We had the good fortune of connecting with Loreto and Nicoletta Nardelli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Loreto and Nicoletta, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We have a deep passion for food and cooking and we thought why not combine that and start a food blog and make a career out of it?

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We are food bloggers, we develop recipes and teach people how to cook/bake using seasonal good quality ingredients. Most of our recipes are traditional Italian but sometimes we like to fuse cultures and flavors. We also do food photography, brand partnerships, virtual and in-home cooking classes. We come from a place of authenticity with a deep respect for our Italian heritage. We’re proud of how far we’ve come in the blogging world and what we’ve achieved so far and are excited to keep growing and expanding the blog in a variety of ways.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If it’s in the summer, we are known as the city of festivals. We would take them to Taste of Edmonton to sample foods from the many restaurants in the city. There is also the Heritage festival which features foods and traditions from a plethora of cultures. On a Saturday we would definitely take them to the farmers’ market and out for breakfast in one of the many great cafés, finishing off the day with a nice walk along Whyte Avenue or along the river valley.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A shoutout goes to our parents and grandparents who instilled in us the passion for cooking from scratch and appreciating good food and good ingredients. They are our inspiration.
