We had the good fortune of connecting with Vinicio Larios and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Vinicio, do you disagree with some advice that is more or less universally accepted?
growing up I always heard people well family say oh well its not right time or I have to wait for the right time to do something.I find that to be untrue for me I feel if you have the vision the passion the work ethic and understanding that whatever you set your goals out to be it will require all your effort that to me is when its right. If you wait for the ‘right time” I feel like you will always just be waiting.I feel like that saying is just to procrastinate maybe out of fear of failure and peoples opinion. the advice I took is to stop over thinking stay focus follow your dreams.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
ive always been created with my hands, and you know how they say; you don’t choose art. art choose you. consistency is key, many barbers/styles dont have that, adaptation and willingness to learn hairstyles and trends change. Barbering is derived from art of shaving and is a skill that is being lost, ”FADE MASTERS SHAVE” is a service that includes hot towel shave and massage, with essential oils and vapor to fuse your skin. hot lather, straight razor shave and sculpt will follow. this is what set us apart. I owned my first barbershop when I was 13 back in Nicaragua, I came to this country to be someone. now I’m running a luxury barbershop in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in miami, ”coconut grove” that makes me proud and I am so exited for what is coming next.
it wasn’t easy to get here, I remember when i bought fade masters of Miami back in 2018. I sold my car and everything I own of value to follow my dream and be able to buy the barbershop. I had 0 dollars but I had just acquire my biggest asset. I worked 7 days a week no holidays off building my brand and I am still working hard building it and I won’t stop.
hard work pay off, when you do things right and hustle hard something positive is going to come your way maybe not today or tomorrow but all that effort will pay off!
we are a family own barbershop, from our signature haircut to straight razor shaves and color service, we believe attention to details and personal touches makes all the difference.
at fade masters of miami barbershop all of our stylist and barbers are classically trained, blending old school and new school techniques, so you receive a fresh one of the kind look tailored just for you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
starting with a fresh fade from Fade Masters of Miami on a Sunday morning afterwards head to one of my favorite brunch spots GreenStreet Cafe in the grove have some mimosas and their delicious brunch, walk around the grove check out local boutiques and coco walk early dinner at plantation queen in the grove. over the next several days definitelyhit up wynwood at night time mayami 1800 lucky and a new spot Crusoe wynwood. Grab Dinner at Komodo, Sexy Fish, Pubelly and a new food hall in Doral ShomaBazar. Cant miss KiKi on the river on a Saturday Night. to satisfy my sweet tooth Hit up NightOwl Cookie and Mojo Donuts.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
my shoutout is to my Grandfather for raising me to be an honest and hard working man. to my mentor Mariela Heredia for opening her doors to me as an immigrant to this country in 2008 and to my spouse Estefania Suarez for always supporting my dreams and encouraging me to pursue them.
