We had the good fortune of connecting with Drahm and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Drahm, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?

First of all, thank you Shoutout Miami for reaching out to me and it’s a pleasure to share my story with you.

Growing up,I always knew that I wanted to become an entertainer of some sort and share my energy through art with people.

As a Youth, I wanted to become a soccer player until I came across electronic music at the age of 14 and it sparked a flame in me.

Through electronic music, I’m able to get the audience to resonate with me and take them on an emotive journey and share this euphoric feeling that I get from my music selections together.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I’m Always striving to do better every day and music keeps me busy.I manage two online music outlets called “Deep House Tulum” & “Deep House Toronto” and work on producing and mixing music daily.

Now when it comes to performing, the biggest challenge was how to start? What kind of music do I like? How can I share it with people out there?

No, Wasn’t easy at all. I remember playing many gigs for free and playing music off of Youtube at many parties before someone noticed my curative musical abilities so I finally landed a single professional gig at a club for the first time after a few years in 2015.

I believe that Music is for us to share and look at it just like Karma. The more you are willing to share your passion and music with others and help them along the journey unconditionally, the more you would get from others in the forms of love, fulfillment and gratitude.

My music has elements of how a cinematic film and classical music is structured and it flows through different emotions. At times, it could be Groovy, organic, Emotive, Groundbreaking and Drahmatic and also at times it would be one full day on tropical beaches and jungles with tribal sounds filled with World music melodies with influences from Tulum,Toronto, Berlin and Miami within different genres of electronic music.

I’m working to become a Tastemaker in my own class of Electronic music and almost done finalizing an EP and a few collaborations to release in 2023 and can’t wait to share my music with many people of different backgrounds and cultures.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

There are a few cities that I would recommend taking them out to. Miami has vibrant Haitian, Cuban and Latin American cuisine which I love.

But to start the journey I would recommend my Hometown Of Toronto, Canada.

First of all, I would take them to Othership for a round of Sauna and Ice bath sessions, then El Rey Mezcal Bar In Toronto. – “The absolute best Mexican food in the city.”

Shortly after we would go to Bar808 for good vibes, atmosphere, house tunes, snacks and pre-game cocktails then Subdivison Toronto is Another new unique Underground Bar with no phone policy that I would take them after if they are still in the mood for dancing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To my Crew at Deep House Toronto and Like-minded associates at Deep House Tulum.
