Hi Leighshana, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
There will be days business is running very well. There will be days business is slow like molasses. You have to keep going and keep working. Business is like a tide. It will come in and it will go out. When it comes in, it can come in lightly or forcefully. When it leaves, it can go down a small amount or go out very far. The amount of orders, sales, and customers you get can change at any minute. You have to keep going and not let where your business is at this moment define your success or allow you to get discouraged.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Professionally, I am a Tax Accountant! I didn’t find it easy to reach this position. It is very competitive especially in this field! When I did get the job, the amount of time needed to be dedicated to my job change drastically which resulted in me having to either shorten or change around the time I spent working on business. It was a huge adjustment but I overcame it by staying organized. Keeping up with work and business deadlines and making schedules really helped me balance both work and business. I’m not saying this will make a perfect balance but it definitely will help with a better balance.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would definitely go painting! Painting Carousel is so much fun or Painting with A Twist! If she is into Soul Food, I would recommend 4 Rivers Smokehouse. We can do a stroll down Las Olas another Day where we can do a Boat Ride/Dining at Casa Sensei. We will stay until the evening to see the lights! Another day we can do a chill beach day! Grab some food on the strip! The 4th day, we can take a drive to Wynwood if she is interested and go to an Art Museum down there! It would be so much fun! Grab food from The Licking if it is close by. The 5th day can be a spa day. Get massages at Massage Envy, Do our nails at Venetian, and probably check out Palm Beach Outlets for some shop therapy! The 6th day can be a rest day where we stay in! The 7th day, we would go to church for sure! Then we can go bowling or do something action packed at Xtreme Action Park!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom most definitely! She supports this business like no other and her advice is what drives me. She is the one constantly giving me encouragement and telling me to step out of my comfort zone while working in my business. I dedicate this shoutout to you mom!
