We had the good fortune of connecting with Adem Cayir and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adem, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
As 4 partners with an experience in e commerce and entrepreneurship we were always on the look out for the best product that is environment friendly, made of natural goods such as cotton, wool etc. and is traditional. So we came across of Turkish style beach towels, that cotton, thin easy to carry , quick dry and sand resistant so it was a perfect fit for a Country with lot of beautiful beaches , camping sites, yoga sites and more!

Our promise to nature is planting a tree for every towel we sell! Our goal is planting a million tree! 1st of every month we do our numbers and plant our trees right away!

our story

Well we are 4 New Jerseyans that dedicated their career to bringing high quality towels to your door steps. Our manufacturing plant is in Denizli Turkey constantly working on expanding our styles designs and collections. Averagely once a month we have been approached by manufacturers from all around the World to cut the cost, to lower the quality for more profit etc. We have been working with same plant since we started because we newer thought of lowering our quality .. its always a pleasure to know that you are building something unique and it is new to the Americans. As a great Nation we value quality , workmanship and helping smaller companies and manufacturers and that’s what we are exactly doing as a brand, still employing mostly female villagers to help them keep this legacy alive ad pass it to next generations and benefit from it at the same time, this is what’s keeping us highly motivated.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

I would be taking him/her to Central Park for a Brunch. After a long brunch I would not ming a little boat tour in the park which I find very relaxing thing to do within the city. than I would go in the city tour and get off by the pier to catch the ferry to Edgewater NJ for the best view of the city where I would have Dinner together!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We are originally from Turkey and Turkey being towel capital of the world had triggered us to carry this legacy everywhere. Because these beach towels so called ‘peshtemals’ go back hundreds of years in mediterranean. From Romans to Greeks to Lebanese everyone had their design of peshtemals in their baths, beaches , kitchens and around the house. It always was the same , pure cotton, thin and lightweight, a perfect combination for its purpose.
