The Decision Makers Series is one of our staff’s favorite because decision making is a topic that so many of us have studied deeply.

I made the conscience decision to be transparent. It’s so important when running a nonprofit, especially with animals, to be transparent on a business level, but also personal. People are entrusting me with animals and donations to care for the animals and grow the organization. Becoming a business owner can be something that many people want to archive. The most important decision that has contributed to my success with out a doubt was to put my mental health first. I have always been a passionate and hardworking person but unfortunately, my tenacious work ethic slowly fostered anxiety and self doubt which I used to do my job better.
