We had the good fortune of connecting with Eline Baas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eline, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business stemmed from a combination of personal passion and professional experience. Growing up in an art-loving family, I developed a strong affinity for art and design from an early age. As I pursued my education and gained international experience working closely with ateliers and factories around the world, I realized that I wanted to channel my creativity and expertise into something that truly reflected my vision and values.
Starting my own business, Studio | Eline Baas, allowed me to merge my two passions: art and interior design. I wanted to create a space where I could not only work as an interior designer and stylist but also design and craft my own art collection under my Atelier division. This provided me with the freedom to express my intuitive creative vision and combine my wealth of material research with my technical knowledge.
Moreover, I wanted to add value to rooms and spaces by infusing them with aesthetics, quality, and authenticity. I believe in the power of art and design to transform environments and make them unique and simply beautiful. By establishing my own art and interior design studio, I could bring this philosophy to life and offer my clients a comprehensive and personalized experience.
Overall, the thought process behind starting my own business was driven by my love for art, design, and the desire to create something truly special and meaningful. It allowed me to pursue my passions, leverage my expertise, and provide a unique value proposition to clients seeking artful and beautifully designed spaces.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a reflection of my passion for merging classic with contemporary design, resulting in unique and captivating pieces. I strive to create art that not only evokes aesthetic beauty but also carries a sense of authenticity and storytelling.
It is a source of joy and fulfillment to see my art pieces resonate with others and add a touch of elegance and personality to their environments.
Overcoming obstacles is an essential part of personal and professional development I believe. Staying true to my artistic vision and values has been essential in creating meaningful art that resonates with others.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand, Studio | Eline Baas, is that it is a culmination of my lifelong dedication to art and design. I strive to create art and design experiences that are not only visually stunning but also bring joy, inspiration, and a sense of uniqueness to people’s lives. With a strong emphasis on aesthetics, quality, and authenticity, my aim is to enrich spaces and create lasting impressions. I am deeply committed to my craft and continuously seek new avenues for innovation and creative expression.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my fellow designers and artists who have been a constant source of inspiration and support. Their creativity, passion, and commitment to their craft motivate me to continually push the boundaries of art and design.
