We had the good fortune of connecting with Keisha Pyzynski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keisha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I originally wanted to work for a design agency. When I graduated college, I went on interview after interview and kept hearing the same thing, which was “You do not have enough experience”. I was starting to get discouraged and I started freelancing and networking. Within 3 years of freelancing I had created my own opportunity and started my own design agency. 8 years later, I have employees, a roster of amazing beauty brand clients, and I make more than I ever would have if I would have been hired by an agency.

What should our readers know about your business?
My company (Key Design & Media) is a creative digital marketing agency that produces high quality video production, product packaging design, and graphic design. We’re Located in Coral Springs, FL. We specialize in working with brands of all sizes within the hair, beauty, wellness, and lifestyle industries. I started the company in 2012. This year we expanded and opened a creative studio space for photography, and video.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
The Wynwood Art District. I love the art there, it is so inspiring to see. I visit every chance I get.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has always been the core of my story. From my parents setting strong work ethic examples, to my sisters encouraging me, to my husband and children who have supported my dream of being an entrepreneur.
