We had the good fortune of connecting with 2xr Design and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi 2xr, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks as a design studio is thrilling and something we strive to do day in and day out. It helps us push the edges of the work that we’re creating, it allows us to be innovative and bring a vision to the table that had not yet been thought of. This also allows us to take the brands we work with on a journey through our imagination, and by the end of it they are more times than not sold on the idea we come up with. Taking risks and accomplishing what we set out to achieve has created a strong bond with the brands we have worked with and it has also allowed us to expand our work to other areas.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Ever since we set out on this journey one thing has always been very clear and has never really changed, which is the love and joy we feel everyday getting to do what we love to do: learning and creating cool things for good people and brands. Every project we get introduces us to a whole new world we had never been a part of before from buffalo farms, to tech companies, to medical gear, to beauty products, dog breeders, whiskey bars, champagne booths, toothpaste brands and more. Our work is always exciting. Every exciting project we get renews our spirit and for that we are extremely grateful.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If our best friends were visiting Miami for a week there are a couple of places we would take them that we’re sure they would absolutely fall in love with. The first would be Tran An, a Vietnamese restaurant. Tran An’s interior design is absolutely gorgeous and the food is delicious, it is a whole experience. Next up would be Jaffa Miami, an Israeli Cuisine with the best Turmeric Cauliflower we have ever eaten. It is located in the Design District so it would be a perfect place to spend the afternoon. Last but not least, we would take them to Phat Boi Sushi & Kitchen, our favorite sushi in town.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We have worked with many inspiring people, agencies and brands in the last 7 years. It has been hundreds of projects, so it would be unfair to name only a couple because every project we’ve been a part of has helped shape our work and our studio.
