We had the good fortune of connecting with A Beck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi A Beck, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Not gonna lie this has always been a bit of a struggle for me lol. However being a single dad I had to find a rythm in staying motivated to work in my free time as most parents know it’s extremely rare to find free time anyways. But once I found that Motivation to work in the free time when my boys are with their mom it became easier for me to balance it

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
You know for me being a songwriter is always an absolute rollercoaster. But I was told young from Southstar that you have to love the process and find the fuel from your losses. I think I’ve gotten to where I am currently because I’ve taken the time to understand the craft and worked very hard at it. To me there’s 2 million songwriters in the world but who’s gonna be the guy that gets it done the most efficiently and provide the best work. I want to be that guy so I always made sure that was a point in my career

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well obviously we have to hit wynwood and catch a vibe and some grub. I’ve actually never hit one of the big clubs like Space or Story so we have to experience that just one time and rage. I’m not a big beach guy but I do feel like that’s an absolute must in Miami so I guess we will have to add that in the itinerary.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Man there’s tons of people I could thank. I’ll start first with my brother loxx and my brother ThatDevastator. Both of these dudes have pushed me to go harder and make this whole thing real life. I’d like to shot out Viper and SPkIlla as well those guys threw me alley oops for no reason and it worked. Also all my bros that have nothing to do with music but keep me grounded , Blake , Trav , Nick and my camera guy but more importantly my bro GoodvibesJon
