We had the good fortune of connecting with Rogerio Peixoto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rogerio, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
To live is to take risks and to mitigate the possible damage it takes a lot of discipline, ethics, commitment, seriousness and tranquility to always move forward, with business is no different.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I always say that no one becomes an artist: You are born an artist, art schools only serve to give you depth and improve your gift. No parent expects their child to be born, grow up and become an artist, this process happens naturally, the earlier the better… I am an artist passionate about what I do, I don’t know exactly what differentiates me from other artists, the only thing What I know is that I spend all the time I have left to study and learn more and I’m very happy with the results… I’m happy to go up one step at a time… If I’m driving a race car and I get distracted by looking at the rear view to see who is behind me, or I look to the side to see who is my competitor, I will lose focus and concentration and for sure I will get lost in the next corner. I always look ahead, if there’s a car in front of me, then that’s the car to beat. I still need to learn a lot, the more I study, the more I realize that I know nothing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The best place to take a good friend is definitely my home; It is there that I can offer the best rest, the best food and the best feelings, any other itinerary will only be to distract the mind.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
After thanking God I always thank myself. And why would I thank myself? This is very easy to answer: I thank myself for not giving up when others gave up, I thank myself for always looking for the yes when I got a no, I thank myself for being calm and wise when others just wanted to hurt me And finally, I thank myself for always picking me up when I was knocked down. “The most important thing in this life is not about how much you can hit, it’s about how much you can bear the pain, fall, get up and move on.
