We had the good fortune of connecting with Abdull Albeloushi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abdull, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I first started my page just to have a social media outlet where I can practice content creation and social media marketing while I was in grad school. Along the way, as I was learning new techniques and improving my content I started being noticed by local businesses, and eventually started being noticed by many big companies. Many people are able to be full-time content creators and make a living from it. I would love to reach that point but it is very time-consuming.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I got to where I am today by constantly learning new skills. I love learning! I took many courses that definitely helped me improve my content. There are many sources there can be taken advantage of like Linkedin Learning, Coursera, courses on Groupon. I don’t mind investing in these courses because they don’t only help with my page but also with my career. I do recommend getting a certificate that can be beneficial to you and your employer. The more skills you learn the more you stand out that’s something I learned for sure. There’s always something to learn.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That’s a good question! As a foodie, it will be hard to decide where to go to eat. I have a lot of favorite places to eat. For places, I’m definitely going to stick to touristy places like South Beach and Lincoln Road of course, and the beach, Wynwood since there are many fun bars and restaurants, Brickell for shopping and good food. There are plenty of places to check out in Miami I feel like one week is not enough, we also have the surrounding areas to check out. I would also take them on a road trip to either Key West or Orlando for the amusement parks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to all my professors who were a big part of my learning experience when it came to digital marketing and branding. I would also like to dedicate this shoutout to my friends who sometimes join and help me create content when I need it. And lastly, to every creator that shared a tip or a technique to help other creators. You guys are amazing!
