We had the good fortune of connecting with Adam Potash and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adam, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted the opportunity to truly help people in the best way possible. I also wanted to be in charge of my own destiny. My program has certainly adapted over the years in effort to help more and more people lose weight. I wanted to create a program that did this without giving up the much needed support and attention.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
For years my practice was one on one or individually approached. One day I was reading an article about the new obesity percentages in our country. I immediately turned to my wife and said “I need to help more people”. I then devoted the entire next year to crating an online platform and presence. I worked on creating an easy approach to weight loss that didn’t require all the unsustainable habits like Macro tracking, Calorie counting or point systems… Along with my approach being easy to follow I focused on providing guidelines so that no matter where you were in the world you too could follow this program and eat foods that you enjoyed. Furthermore I don’t believe anyone can be successful without a support system. My program offers 24/7 email support, 24/7 food logging support, along with exclusive community support via Facebook group. On top of that every member who joins the program gets a personal onboarding call with me. We are continually focusing on “the bigger we grow, the more person we want to become”.

The biggest lesson I have learned over the years is one that I continue to use. I successful business shouldn’t get married to an idea. the quicker you can recognize a challenge and pivot the more successful you business will be. I remember reading an article about how the Blackberry phone was completely against creating a touchscreen phone. They were married the idea of physical buttons…

I am most proud of all my members current and past for drumming up the courage to make these positive changes in their lives.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow, great question. Being a chef as well, I certainly have a passion for food and living in South Florida also offers a great variety for whatever you are in the mood for. Right up the street from me is a relatively new spot called Warren. always great food and a great atmosphere. My wife and I frequently visit Abe & Louie’s. We enjoy sitting at the bar and having Tony make us some cold cocktails.

Delray Beach is always a scene with a wide variety of food options. I like Over the Bridge Cafe for brunch, maybe the new Delray Market Place for Lunch and either Lion Fish or Akira Back for dinner. You can’t go wrong with either of those choices.

Although South Florida has so much to do, I think one of the best parts is experiencing the different cultures and different foods. With that said, certainly Key West would have to be on the list of stops. Laid back and care free, The Florida Keys is unlike any other place on earth.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be here without my beautiful wife and her unconditional support. Owning your own business can be extremely challenging. In my line of work, I want to help people. It’s what I love to do. But I also need to put food on the table and support my family. My wife Rachael truly gave me the ability to grow my business and stay true to my passion.
