Meet Alberto Tonelli | Maître d’ & Sommelier

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alberto Tonelli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alberto, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I would say my thought process in starting my own business had to everything to do with passion. My father was a restaurant owner with locations around the world. What fascinated me most growing up around them was being able to watch my father transform evenings and create memories for people all while loving his profession.

What should our readers know about your business?
The most important thing I’ve learned as a business owner is to have passion. Anything can become a chore without passion and sometimes it can become difficult to allocate so much time of one’s life to a task we maybe not truly enjoying. It is absolutely a human concept. The best way to mitigate this is by choosing something to invest time in that will truly fulfill the mind body and soul. For me personally what drives me everyday is being able to hopefully create a dining experience for our customers that is slightly different from anywhere else in the world. The second most important lesson I’ve learned is to have patience and discipline. Those are virtues that will enable someone to overcome obstacles and ultimately continue forward towards.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to downtown Stuart. It is truly a special place offering a European feel that is rare to come by in FL. There are many restaurants and bars that are fantastic. Knowing me and my friends we would probably try to visit all of them!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The most important shoutout really goes to my whole family. We have all brought a set of qualities to the project to enable us to offer our vision.
