We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandra Carvajal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandra, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I was working as a planner in a local restaurant and saw the opportunity of offering our clients a service that will complement they’re events. Flowers and decorations to beautify the already amazing set ups that we offered our clients. After some years of doing both jobs I was able to become independent to focus mainly on Always Be Creative Flowers and events. Today, we offer not only flowers and decorations but event and wedding planning services.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Being an entrepreneur is exciting but it is difficult at the same time. Managing your time while doing what you are passionate about sounds perfect from the outside, but once you are in is a little bit more complex. Every day you have to make the best choices to be able to fulfill your goals and eventually your dreams. The amazing side of it is that you are able to do what you love and in my case help each one of my clients to make their dreams a reality. As an event planner my main goal is to understand my clients vision and make it possible always looking for my clients best interest. At Always Be Creative Flowers and Events our competitive advantage is to treat each one of our clients as if they are part of our family. We treat each event no matter how big or small is with the same importance and our attention to detail and customer service is always superb.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week long trip I will take my best friend to: 1. An amazing sunrise at the Ritz Carlton at Key Biscayne 2. Brunch at Joia Beach 3. Drink the best mojito at Miami Mojito Company in Wynwood 4. Afternoon walk by the design district shops 5. A sunset picnic by South Pointe Park 6. An afternoon walk by Eight street followed by amazing dinner at Lung Yai Tapas 7. Best pizza at Mr. 01 8. Bike riding to Coconut Grove 9. Beach Day at the SLS 10. Dinner at Mila in South Beach

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family who have encouraged me through out all my career to always do what I am passionate about. They have support all my decisions and have been there for me unconditionally.
