We had the good fortune of connecting with Aleksandra Stojanoska and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aleksandra, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
Life. We are on this rock in space, moving at a speed of 1000 miles per hour. And the whole solar system also moves as a spiral, never ending movement. And it still feels so still here on Earth. Just take a moment and imagine that. We are a part of it. I am a part of it. And how am I going to contribute with my existence? By creating. Creating all the time, no matter what. Even on days when I don’t feel like it, I have to. I have to do my part. I believe if we keep contributing, one day a masterpiece will be created, as a result of so many years of creation. And when it does, you will be so satisfied, you won’t remember if you were in a good or bad mood when you see the final result. So keep building, keep creating, it’s everyone’s responsibility to contribute to this life and this world we live in.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a visual and a tattoo artist. Started doing tattoos because I love traditional Art and I love doing stuff with my hands. Also, the tattoo work is like having a little piece of your creation seeing the world, so that’s really cool. I’m at a place that I’ve always wanted to be artistically, but I continue to grow on a daily basis since I love experimenting. Most of my time I’m focused on designing and creating tattoos, but in my free time I paint. Painting is like meditation and I have an intimate relationship with all my works. I love taking my time and just be in the bubble. That’s why I have a hard time when I make a sale, it’s difficult to let the pantings go haha. And when it comes to tattooing I learn and I get inspired by my clients a lot. Clients that are open minded and ready to experiment. With them I always enjoy the process and the tattoo work in the end looks flawless. It’s 50-50 collaboration where both parties equally enjoy the process. It’s something that everyone should experience these days. The tattoos have become so popular that I think it’s a shame if one day when you’re old, you turn back and see that you haven’t had the experience of getting a tattoo. The fact that you can have Art- on your skin- forever it’s still mind blowing for me. I love it. Being a tattoo artist is definitely enjoyable profession since it’s not a necessity. It definitely didn’t happen overnight for me to become at this point where I am right now. It took a lot of stressful moments to become comfortable with the tools. But I think I’m ready to bring my craft to the next level. I still don’t know exactly what’s the next step, but I feel it’s coming and it’s gonna be really good.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
