Meet Alex Quin | Digital Marketing Expert & Brand Builder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Quin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Throughout my career I’ve always taken calculated risks when executing my business development strategies. Taking measured risk is something that will often play in your favor if you are well prepared and informed. Thinking with a balanced mind is key so you don’t make decisions based off emotion. All risk you take in life should be measured and calculated with logic and data if possible. The biggest risk you can take is one in which you are informed little about. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or reach out to experts who can consult for you. It can be tempting to give in to advice on social media, or to take advice from fiends or family but you must always keep in mind that not everyone is qualified to give advice. It is also important to keep in mind that you should not compromise your values, or your integrity in the process of taking risk.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I can credit most of my accomplishments to business relationships, a good reputation, and a strong work ethic. Since I graduated high school I embarked on a journey to become a successful marketer. Since then I’ve built UADV™ a successful digital marketing agency that has generated millions of dollars in sales for our clients. What sets me apart from other marketers is that I dont jump into every opportunity that is thrown at me, I can’t just help everyone. There are certain client traits, characteristics, and variables that I look for before getting into business with anyone. I only engage if I actually know I can help the person or brand. I saw a quote on social media recently that resonated with me “Don’t be so thirsty for opportunity that you drink from every cup handed to you. That’s how you get poisoned.” Long story short, not every deal is worthy. Meaning no deal is better than a bad deal. Taking a bad deal can affect your quality of life and performance, it can also lead to you damaging your reputation if you can’t deliver. This is why being selective and objective is key. One of the biggest challenges you will face in business or in any career is yourself and your mindset. The way you think is dictated by the data that goes into your brain. Therefore you must ask yourself: • Who am I surrounding myself with? • Who or what is influencing my thoughts? • What information am I consuming? • What books am I reading? I’ve learned to be more selective in the people I chose to do business with. Getting into business with people that don’t share your values, vision or work ethic can steer you away from the direction you’re meant to go in.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
“If everyone is moving together, then success will take care of itself.” This quote from Henry Ford hits home because I’ve been fortunate enough to work alongside some incredible humans on my business journey. Who I am today has been shaped by experiences and individuals who have walked this path with me. These are people who have been selfless an dedicated to helping me bring my ideas to life. There are many people that come to mind but three people that have played a huge role in my career development have been my partners Michelle Chia and Jona Pineda, and of course my mentor Jeremy Haynes. Everything I create is a result of inspiration and influence from those around me, I don’t operate alone. Behind every successful man or woman is a dedicated team of experts innovating and contributing ideas. Surrounding yourself with people that will lift you up when you are at your lowest, and who keep you grounded when necessary is one of the keys to success.
