We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Saavedra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexander, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to do something that I can make a significant difference in my community. My focus was always in helping others and being there for someone. I chose remodeling because it was something I learned and enjoyed from a young age with my father. Having him as my mentor/business partner was beneficial in the making of the company.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Every home is a canvas. To begin with an idea and work collaboratively with a home owner to come together and create something wonderful for their home is everything. It was hard getting to where I am today as it took several years to understand different aspects of remodeling. I feel like learning from other contractors and hiring different companies was beneficial for my learning process. I learned along the way that perseverance is the key. I want the world to know that anything is possible as long as you put your mind to it.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely start my day at the beach in Stuart, FL. There is a beach near bathtub beach that has huge rock formations near the water line and you can see the waves crashing against them as well as even stand on them as you feel the mist of the ocean. After I would take them to have breakfast at a local dinner that is in Stuart as well. Next I would walk near the downtown area and see the sights that are here to offer us and possibly do some window shopping and look at the architecture of different buildings. Finally towards the night we would go to Fort Pierce, FL and enjoy the nightlife that downtown has to offer with local bars and breweries.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My father and mother deserve all the credit. It was always their support in what I did that kept me going. My father is really intelligent and my mother is very hardworking and I believe I was blessed with the best of their attributes. I really couldn’t have done it without them.
