We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Marciello and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandra, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Throughout my late teens and 20’s I was such a busy body. While attending FIU I also enrolled in a makeup artistry school, filled in as a second shooter for weddings and events with some of South Florida’s best photographers, volunteered at art museums for events, worked as an event manager for the Hilton brand and the list goes on. I found that I always excelled in managing people and directing logistics. I went on to hold some top tier positions in the event world. At one point, I opened a venue and quickly turned it into one of the most popular venues in the area. While all my experience through the years was valuable and rewarding, I realized that much of what I accomplished had to do with my personality, drive and genuine care for my clients. So, to be honest, I decided to stop making other companies tons of money and set out to build a brand that I could one day pass on to my own kids!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a true creative at heart. I’ve always aimed to be in a creative field, though known that the term “starving artist” is not something that I wanted to define me. I found that with event planning and floral design I could have best of both worlds. I am driven and business minded and at the same time, I crave the ability to get my hands into anything creative. Being a creative, we typically do not like to complete the same mundane tasks over and over again. With events, there is always something unique and different about each couple, each client, each occasion. I love the ability to create the overall design of an event and take my clients vision from inception to reality. Since adding floral design to our brand, I am able to take things a step further and really be in control of the final look with the table top design, fun floral installations and the smaller items that really bring a design together. I always aim to be unique and different, taking risks and thinking outside the box to really create a wow factor for each event.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So, pre-pandemic, this happened quite often as a few of my closest friends are form Canada. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to come to Florida for some fun?! These days, my itinerary largely depends on if the kids are tagging along. Though, we definitely have to spend some time enjoying the beautiful outdoor activities that Florida has to offer. I love kayaking at Oleta State Park, soaking up some sun at Haulover beach and hitting up some fresh lunch spots like Juice and Java in Sunny Isles. Of course, no trip to Florida is complete without a trip to the Wynwood Walls and a stroll down South Beach (yes, we even drink the touristy 2 corona margaritas on the strip!). I’m a big fan of staycations at the Diplomat or the W South Beach. Ball and Chain is always great for some good music and delicious tapas. And lastly, I always take the to Taverna Opa Hollywood to get in some delicious Greek food and dancing!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout is to my dear friend Kathy from CBK Events. I am lucky to have many great people in my corner and I love and appreciate them all. Though, Kathy has shown me such a great deal of kindness, positivity and encouragement. Not only does she trust my company with her own clients but she also has become a friend who I know I can call on with even the most personal of things – and vise versa. She is such a little firecracker and loves to connect good people – definitely someone who is unique and special. I look at her as a mentor that has been successful in this industry for many years, as a friend and someone I will forever be grateful for. She is an angel on earth for me and a true rockstar, boss babe and extremely strong woman!
