We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis VanLandingham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, what principle do you value most?
A value that matters to me most would have to be honesty. Working in an industry where there are so many outlets to different information it can be overwhelming at times to the consumer. I always want my clients to know that I do honest work and always have their best interest at heart.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I truly believe to be successful as a mortgage broker you have to be passionate about helping others. Real estate can often times look like a bunch of glitz and glamour but behind the scenes a lot of hard works goes into getting the client to the closing table. Building a brand takes time and with time builds trust. I have learned that without trust you don’t have a deal. I pride myself on the level of customer service, communication and care I bring to each and everyone of my clients no matter what the deal may be. I love to be challenged and think outside the box to make sure my clients are getting the absolute best deal for their situation. Being a broker versus being a retail lender always me the flexibility and optionality to do so. I am excited to continue helping families obtain the goal of homeownership.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For anyone visiting the Fort Lauderdale area, the beach and good food are a must! I would highly recommend grabbing a drink and lunch somewhere along A1A on Fort Lauderdale beach, a favorite spot of mine is Coconuts as it’s right on the water! Any spot along Las Olas will guarantee something good to eat or drink, or you can stroll for a nice walk along the river with some ice-cream! Other fun spots for dinner are Moxies, Del Frisco, Eddie V’s and Lobster Bar.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I couldn’t do what I do without the support and backing of my amazing team at Premier Lending Corp. From my broker owners, director of sales, disclosure department, processing team and of course my amazing loan coordinators! Having the best of the best in industry tools and tech at my fingertips has allowed my business to exponentially grow. Being coachable is key to being successful! Thank you to my biggest mentors, Johanny Joseph, Manny Fajardo and Juan Fajardo.
