Meet Aline Ndalla | Co-founder of PR & Media Professionals

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aline Ndalla and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aline, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I met Denisse Hiller, co-founder of our networking initiative PR & Media Professionals, while volunteering at a tech event. During our conversation, I mentioned that I wanted to pivot back into PR but felt discouraged because Miami didn’t seem to have any PR-focused networking events. She replied, “Well, why don’t you create one?” Then she suggested we partner and build it together. That’s how PR & Media Professionals was born.

What should our readers know about your business?
The main purpose of PR & Media Professionals is to create a space where communications pros and journalists can meet in person, and where those interested in the industry can gain access to it. I believe it’s helping Miami’s media community, especially as it’s ever evolving. It’s a great way to stay up to date and meet new people. We’re still in the early stages, but it looks promising, with a few people already returning to our meetup.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far, and we’re focused on helping our community grow. Like any new endeavor, it hasn’t been easy, there are always challenges, especially when logistics come into play. That’s part of organizing events, but we learn and improve along the way. As long as our attendees enjoy the experience and find value in it, I’d say we’re on the right track.
Our motto is simple: we want to bridge the gap between media and communications, one conversation at a time!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d say: grab an açaí bowl (the Marley please!) from Under the Mango Tree, catch the sunrise at South Pointe Park or the beach, make a quick cultural stop at the Pérez Art Museum, and wrap up with wine tasting and crispy zucchini at Sixty Vines. If it’s Wednesday, join the PR & Media Professionals event!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The city of Miami may not be a person, but it still deserves a huge shoutout. Moving here has helped me grow in so many ways both personally and professionally, and I’m genuinely grateful I took that leap. I also want to give credit to Denisse Hiller, my co-founder. Without the conversation we had, we would have never launched the PR & Media Professionals networking events that have become such an important part of our journey.
