We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I have a motto, everything will be okay in the end. As long as you continue to work hard, pray, and keep pushing forward it will. Right when I feel like it’s not okay, I know it’s only getting started. Motivates me to keep going, why would you stop if you’re NOT ok?
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I call myself a woman of many talents. One of my favorites is “ The Glow Artist “. Being able to provide a makeover for anyone who isn’t feeling like themselves just brings so much peace and love into my heart. Whether it’s hair, makeup, facials anything beauty I’m the girl for you. I see my client as a canvas and I’m ready to enhance your beauty into something you could not believe. I inspire for a woman to have happiness, peace, and self worth. I’m a listening ear for those who need it and a helping hand for those who don’t really know how to complete it or don’t have that motivation to want too. This life style has not been easy, as a single mom forced to do everything alone you have to find the time for not only your success but also to love your child all the way through. Especially when you’re all each other have, she keeps me going and I want her to know that everything I do is for her. I eventually want to be able to give free monthly makeovers to homeless women living in shelters, especially single mothers who don’t feel like themselves. Let me show you how beautiful you are because I’ve been there! I also create YouTube Videos with my daughter, I used to do it as memories for her future but now it’s turning more into Blogs for entertainment!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m all about a chill vibe! I would take my bestfriend to the beach first thing in the morning, of course not forgetting the pina coladas by the bar. Let’s hang by the boardwalk and walk to enjoy the vitamin D. Then we’d head back towards Orlando and I would take them downtown- slow Manhattan as I call it. Experience the city life and get some Pig Floyd. I think I would end the night in my backyard with a nice bon fire and set up some canvas to paint the night sky… some may say BORING, but it’s the vibe!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Besides my daughter, Jalaycia Rose, who obviously is the biggest impact in my life. My top three motivators are my bestfriend, Abi. She has inspired me to grow beyond belief. She reminds me day in and day out my worth, my power, my resilience, and most importantly my God. Anything is possible as long as I have him on my team. Next I have my boss, turned work mom, turned forever friend, Lori. She has shown me what it means to be a BOSS. Being a single mom dealing with a very toxic situation at the time of knowing her she motivated me more than anything to keep going and do for ME & mine. She is my go to for every situation. Finally my biggest guide within life is Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd) Abel showed me that it is okay to feel everything wholeheartedly and love with everything I have not to always weather through that feeling of numbness. Through my darkest hours Abel showed me that it is okay to sometimes not be okay and you shouldn’t force happiness.
