Meet Amoi Wynn | Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amoi Wynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amoi, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite inspirational quote is “If your dreams don’t scare you, they are too small”. I love this quote because I think we are taught to be an adult quickly in this world and always have responsibilities and we ignore our inner child and what makes us happy. It always inspires me to dream bigger about anything I desire and to never limit myself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have modeling since high and was always in love with fashion and the industry. I think what sets me apart from other models is I don’t want to put myself in a box. I imagine modeling as trying different styles and embracing them. Whether it’s beauty, editorial, grudge, etc. It wasn’t easy getting to where I am now, but it was worth it. I overcame the challenges by ignoring when people told me “no”. I ignored people when they would try to doubt how far I would go. My lesson I learned is the opinion that matters about you is yours. I want the world to know that what you desire is within your reach, don’t doubt yourself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The first place I would go is Big Pink in Miami. I don’t know what it is, but I’m addicted to their spinach dip. For the week long trip, we would probably eat there everyday and try something new. LOL. Most likely, go to the beach of course, a few museums.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There’s so many people to name! I want to thank God most importantly. I love and adore all of my friends that always supported me, the photographers and the collaborations that they have blessed me with, and my organization Fashion Forward at Florida Atlantic University.
