We had the good fortune of connecting with Ana Isabel Feliciano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ana Isabel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After planning my own wedding, I realized what a detailed and stressful process it could be. Planning your wedding should be a fun and exciting experience – it’s something a lot people have dreamt of since they were little. I love to help people so It was then that it came to me that I could help people plan their weddings and help make the process a little less stressful and a lot more enjoyable.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

A Type “A” personality includes:

That is Type “A” Network! I am passionate about providing every client with the detail and attention their event deserves. An overall desire for excellence is what drives Type “A” Network to deliver the once vision and make it a reality.

There are so many details that go into a planning an event – choosing a date, a venue, theme, catering, invitations, entertainment, decor, and the list can go on and on. It can be overwhelming on any couple about to tie the knot. That’s where I come in. We can take care of all of that, and at the end of the day, we look to end it with a big smile.

The testament to a job well done in this profession is that the couple, my clients, are happy with the work we put in. That once it’s over they realize that they were able to fully enjoy their big day, and that everything about the event was a huge success. I want to stand there during the reception watching them get down on the dance floor without a care on the world, as if to say, “We are married! This is the best wedding ever!”

I recall one wedding where the very next day the bride texted me to thank me – she commented on how relieved she was the moment I stepped on the scene – it was like a breath of fresh air for her. Type “A” Network was the key component in everything coming out so perfect, and helping make her night magical. You can imagine the smile on my face.

The biggest lesson I have learned is that it takes a village! All the vendors, my staff, my husband holding down the fort at home, and my mom helping the mother of the bride, or groom calm their nerves. It’s like a sports team…if one position doesn’t do their part, it will all come apart. The team needs to come together to win the game.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Like Trick Daddy says, “Born and raised in the county of Dade!”, I was born March 19th in Hialeah Hospital. I have lived my entire life in Miami and don’t plan on moving anytime soon. This city has an energy like none other. The city IS a vibe. There are so many places I want to take you to…you ready?

I am not a breakfast person but I sure am a brunch person! My favorite spots range from The Original Pancake House to The Biltmore. As long as I can get some Eggs Benedict and Mimosas, we are good!

After brunch we can do some light shopping at Dadeland, Merrick Park, or Aventura. From there, we go for some dessert over at Azucar on Calle Ocho, and go watch the “abuelitos” play dominoes at Domino Park.

At night we can drive over to Miami Beach or Key Biscayne, and I will make you turn around to view the Miami Skyline – she is quite the beauty. All of the lights!

We end the night with a cafecito at the ventanita at Versailles before going home and calling it a night!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe my drive and type “A” personality to my parents – they taught me unconditional love…they also would do flips and cartwheels over all of my achievements! I hope I make them proud everyday!
