Meet Anastasios Chasekioglou | Founder of Chef Tasos Luxury Dining

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasios Chasekioglou and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anastasios, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
How difficult is to find legit and loyal staff to build a brand and a strong team .The last couple years a lot of thinks change in our industry and is getting harder and harder to find the right candidates.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I Start my Career in Greece in Rhodes island in Sheraton Rhodes Resort with a short stop of 6months in Paris in Ecole Gregoire Ferrandi and continue my career to Pulitzer Hotel Amsterdam. Next stop of my Journey was the fabulous W Verbier in Switzerland that i work couple years with some amazing Chefs and Mentors that push me on my next step that was the Stregis Bal Harbour in miami that i was the Head chef in a very young age.I learn a lot all those years in the hotels and restaurants working with the best chefs and products around the world .Not everyone knows that to be a Chef is not something easy. The stress, the hours ,managing so many people to have the right result ,But in the end everything is the love about food and the love about the products. When the pandemic start i take one of the most difficult decisions of my life.I decide to leave corporate Hotel world and start my own business ,doing private events in Mansions and yachts.I Was lucky to have around me some people like Nigel, John , Suzanne. They was the key people that make me push myself to create my brand. It takes only 2 years and the business was skyrocketed. Thanks to my team we try everyday to provide the best Service to our high end clientele .Thank you everyone and i promise that we will continue offer this unique and exclusive experiences with the top quality of products and the best team in Miami.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami is a very fun city with a lot of thinks to do (if is not raining lol).I will definetely bring them to see both sides of the city. The tourist side in South beach that everything happening there but i would love to show them the old miami in coconut grove that have a bit more european atmosphere with a lot of Coffee places and restaurants.South point is another favorite spot of mine that i love to walk with my family and see the beautiful sunsets.Restaurant business are skyrocketed the last years with a lot of nice restaurant openings.Couple of my favorite is Osaka and Stubborn Seed .My favourite place for a drink is the Living room in Faena Hotel and the amazing Bar at the Four Seasons Surfside.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank and recognize my team that was next to me from the first minute of this journey and make this a big success story. Karla Estrada Poulingen, Kostantinos Psarros, Fedler Fertilus, Elgin Jenkins, Marcelino Campo, Frederic Ribeiro, Javier Acosta and propably couple more that i forget. It was a very difficult path that everyone put their little touch to make it looks easy.
