We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Escudero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrew, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew I wanted to do something that I cared passionately about, and I’ve always had a knack for sales and creativity. When I saw that my visual art could reach many people quickly via the internet, sharing personal insights and messages, and creating income consistently I decided to pursue my own art business. That was about 14 years ago.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I paint to express a sacred connection within Nature. From the smallest particle to the uncountable vast galaxies scattered around us like grains of sand.

This direction was inspired by a powerful experience I had 16 years ago after practicing meditation and experimenting with sensory deprivation. The experience transformed my life entirely, and I actively searched for a way to share the insights and liberating feelings I had found.

Using landscapes, texture/ 3-D elements, space scenes, surrealism and various natural elements to convey this deep connection. I am proud to create works of art that live up to the intentions and vision I had years ago when starting my visual art path.

To get to where I am today, I experienced many joys and challenges, but the hardest challenges are actually what always seemed to drive me to another level. About 5 years ago I returned from painting murals at Lake Atitlan in Guatemala motivated to level up my skills, as well as increase reach, and raise income to sustain my exploits with less “stress.” I created artwork I was truly proud of that year, taking my time and exiting the social scene for about 6 months. Soon after returning to displaying my new work, opportunities started flooding in and I displayed in my first gallery exhibitions, painted high value 3-D murals, and attracted new collectors.

I want to help you, and all people feel truly connected to Nature. I want to do this by providing you with beautiful artworks to lose yourself in and come out renewed. To inspire and uplift you, and remind you of the sacred beauty of this world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To be honest I’d take them to the beach with my kids a lot, maybe catch a couple art shows or live music. They’d be welcome to hang out in my studio in Fort Lauderdale where I spend most of my time when I’m not with my kids.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents who supported and believed in me from the very start, an artist named Christopher Morphis that set me up for my first live painting session at a festival, and taught me many important lessons early on. Also my partner and mother of my 3 kids, Casey Rae, who helped me get my business organized in a challenging period of my life.
