Meet Angela Stewart | Founder and president of MIA InnerLight

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Stewart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
‘MIA InnerLIght’ is a non profit organization that the main goal is to offer FREE OF CHARGE studies of self-help, charitable projects, volunteering opportunities, spiritual studies, fraternal conversations and more. All our activities are free, then all our members are strictly volunteers.

There are many spiritual studies offered, all free. They guide us to the understanding that forgiviness and being charitable is the requirement to find happiness or at least a relative happiness on Earth.

We follow the Spiritist Philosophy codified by Allan Kardec, French professor. Based on serious reflections, we understand that we are eternal spirits, living a temporary experience in a physical body.

As an eternal soul, our destiny is to evolve via multiple life experiences. We also acknowledge that there were errors in the past, so these are the problems that we face right now. God is a loving mother and father, so there are infinite oppotunites to improve.

Spiritism brings hope to desolated hearts, helping them to understand that we are always being helped. We have a guardian angel that guides us, but we have our free will to take the final decisions. Mediumship is a reality, but unfortunately it can be misused taking advantage of naive people. Reincarnation is a fact that science is gathering facts to fully understand it soon.

We are open to all, love unites us, so we respect the ones that think different from us. One day, these studies will be well known, so people of open mind will be joining us, but also continuing in their own faith or not.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As I live in Coconut Grove this is the place that I immediately recommend to start your visit. You should buy tickets to visit the gorgeous Viscaya Museum and Gardens, then stopping by the new Bayshore Club for a delicious lunch. Right after, I would recommend a short walk to admire the beautiful bay and all the boats by the marina. It would be also great to schedule few minutes to visit the Miami city Hall understanding its history as the first airport in the city, all water plane base. For the night life, I would reccomend the historical neighborhood of little Havana with all the amazing night live clubs and typical food restaurants. Of course, that we can’t forget about the gorgeous beaches with the transparent and warm water in the Miami area.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All my charitable projects require a lot of item donations. There are no entities sponsoring our small non profit yet, so the success of it comes from these very large group of individuals help us to reach the goals. They are friends, family, neighbors, acquaintances and the charitable unknown individuals, that trust our projects of love.

I am eternally grateful to all of them that help me to put in practice these works of love. This is why all MIA InnerLight projects start with Love. For example: Loving Bags for the Unsheltered, Loving Performance in the Nursing Home, Loving Delivered for the Visually Impaired, ect.

Love unites us, bringing the sensation of happiness to the ones that are helped, but also to the ones that are helping.
