We had the good fortune of connecting with Antonio Nesbitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Antonio, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When it comes to risk, I think about it from 2 major perspectives. On a personal level, I believe that risk is about betting on yourself and committing to the choices you make- even when the circumstances are less than ideal. As humans, every day we are able to make the conscious decision to get better, or to stay the same. The question is, how much are you willing to sacrifice to reach your potential? On a macro level, I believe we all have the individual responsibility to take risks in order for the community to thrive over time. This means leaving our comfort zones, finding real opportunities to help others, and striving to learn more through shared experiences. The more we learn, the more we can influence positive outcomes in the future.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of things I love about my brand is that it is multidimensional. I built it with the intention of helping as many people as possible. I primarily specialize in guiding people physically through movement, however, I am also able to help my clients enhance their critical thinking and financial wellness with the ultimate goal of becoming the best version of themselves. This unique business model, has helped me overcome some of the early growing pains of being a new entrepreneur/business owner. It wasn’t easy, but it did teach me that investing time and money into growing your individual skillset is paramount to your success.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my favorite places in the area is the Rickenbacker Causeway on Key Biscayne. It is the best spot to watch the sun rise, get in some exercise, or just breath in some fresh air. You can find me there on most weekends, going for a run over the bridge. Miami is also an incredible city for food. I would definitely take my friend to any one of the amazing ventanitas to grab come cuban coffee and an empanada (Mary’s Cafe on 27th Ave being one of my favorites)! Lastly, we’d visit one of the amazing state parks around South Florida. There are many options in the Everglades, Oleta State Park, and also Bill Baggs. If you can’t tell, I love being outside so these are great spots to get out of the city and be in nature.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has always been extremely important to me. Though I don’t see them as much as I’d like (they live in Massachusetts!) they have brought me an extreme amount joy and motivation over the years. I have 2 younger brothers so i always feel like everything I do is to provide a positive blueprint for them to reference as they grow into themselves. Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention my beautiful partner, Alexina. She has been an incredible source of happiness and light for me since the day we met. Its very hard to imagine me being where I am today without her by my side.
