We had the good fortune of connecting with Aron Sultan Levy and Nathan Barzilay Levy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aron and Nathan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
We believe that there is a kind of misconception that must be confronted when bringing up the word RISK, or rather a sort of stigma we must always surpass when bringing it up since it is oftentimes simply associated with loss, harm, and danger. But that’s only half the story, for although it’s true that risk leads you to travel on unfamiliar roads, we are firm believers that if you have a plan and a clear goal in mind of where you want to get to, most of the time that risk turns into reward and success, both on a personal and a professional level.
When speaking about us, it is important to recognize that we are both risk-takers, but also that although the results of our decisions and actions have not always led to the expected results in the past, we’ve always been able to draw valuable lessons from those experiences, from which we’ve learned how to make better decisions, and how to become both better human beings and more successful entrepreneurs.
Taking risks has led us to leave our comfort zone and establish ourselves in other countries, to adapt to new cultures, and eventually, to launch an innovative team concept within a highly competitive market such as South Florida’s Real Estate Market. And we have done the latter fearlessly, contributing new ideas and approaches to the business that allow us to serve our clients with the level of quality and professionalism that we provide.
Life presents us daily with opportunities, and it’s our decision to take them or let them pass, that is why our advice is that you always analyze each situation, weigh whether it is the right time in your life for it, measure the risks, make a plan, and if you decide to take the opportunity in question, take the associated risks with resolution and perseverance, which are two key factors needed to achieve any goal.
We work and make decisions motivated by a quote that countless successful people have said with different words but with the same meaning, which is essentially: “It is better to fail at something you tried than to regret not having tried at all”, and we think this is a basic characteristic present in the DNA of an entrepreneur.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are literally the best of two worlds: Two business-savvy negotiators with strong principles and family values, and an accessible and hard-working family team ready to flex marketing muscle for clients, so they can reach their real estate goals.
I am a steady and systematic entrepreneur, who, after over 20 years as a business developer, decided to bring the best of strategic thinking and value recognition to the real estate market.
I am a marketing pro used to hard negotiations and a creative dealmaker that people are glad to have on their side.
My first cousin, Nathan, is a take-charge, industry-steeped, and tech-savvy realtor with a passion for transparency and service, who, after almost 20 years as an attentive jewelry business owner decided to move to South Florida and pursue yet another client-focused industry with passion.
Nathan is attentive, praised by all the people who have worked with him, and eager to please to 100% satisfaction.
We decided to join forces in the best of times for the South Florida Real Estate market to form a team that works better together and combines our complementing qualities.
We are warm, personable, focused, and goal-driven: 2 family men who are themselves family and will make you feel like family from day one and until closing day and beyond.
We always say, why settle for the ordinary, if you can have a trusting cousins’ team behind you every step of the way? Two field-tested businessmen negotiating on your side to get you the deal that you want & need.
We work and live for the love of home and for the love of family, and are yearning to become your trusted realty advisors, your practiced negotiators, and your skilled house & condo-hunters, as well as your South Florida neighborhood experts.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
South Florida being among the favorite destinations of most of our Venezuelan and Latin American friends, we find ourselves very frequently hosting visitors, but thankfully it is not very difficult to serve them, as the quality and variety of options that this city offers to make it suitable and fun for anyone and everyone.
What you can be sure of is that you are going to enjoy great meals with us because we both really like to get to know new restaurants, especially small, specialty restaurants, and not chains that you may find on every corner and in every city. We both have very demanding palates, and we have found excellent places from South Miami to West Palm Beach, which is the wide-area we find ourselves crossing on a daily basis, due to the dynamism and demands of our profession.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Indeed, many people and mentors have left their mark in our lives, and we are immensely grateful to them, as they have helped us get to where we are today. But precisely because there are so many of them, it would be unfair for us to mention some of them with the possibility of forgetting many others.
That being said, there are of course those which we could not possibly fail to recognize, despite the space or time limitations, which are our parents and our families, who since childhood instilled in us values that have shaped us during our careers and have led us to work hard, with integrity, honesty, fairness, and always trying to contribute our grain of sand to make this a better world for our children, grandchildren and future generations. There’s also the fact that we are first cousins, and hence we share the fact that we both have parents who immigrated from Europe to South America at a young age, experiencing extreme hardship, with nothing to lose and much to gain, and who showed us that everything can be achieved if you put your mind to it, which they demonstrated by creating successful families and businesses.
