We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, what do you attribute your success to?
Staying true to ourselves. For 20 years my sister Emily and I have designed jewelry that we love and that we know will make our customers feel unique and happy. We design timeless heirlooms that are meant to be passed on from generation to generation. We only sell pieces that truly come from our hearts…which makes parting with some of them very hard!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We started Emily & Ashly twenty years ago. We wanted to make jewelry that spoke to the person wearing it. Our jewelry is meant to tell a story, something to be cherished and past down through generations. Our long term relationship with our customers is something we are most proud of. We have worked hard at growing our business for twenty years and to have customers continually come back for more means the world to us! We are so excited about our new collection. For years we have been archiving designs we love but priced to exorbitantly to create. We are bringing these designs to life in our new collection Pazzo d’oro (fool’s gold). By using materials that are less price prohibited, launching in 2021, we will offer a collection 20 years in the making.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am new to Miami and look forward to exploring all that this city has to offer!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our first big order in 1999 was for Neiman Marcus. We had not been in business long and did not have production set up. Our Mother, Grandmother, Aunts, Cousins and close friends worked around the clock to get over 2500 bracelets made for our first major order. It is because of these amazing women that we were able to grow our business, without them we wouldn’t be where we are today!
